picture of patient receiving NET treatment

The fascial system is like the saran wrap that connects the entire body network. It aligns with the acupuncture meridians and also has been found to contain receptors for complex polypeptides of emotions. Through 25 years of working as a holistic practitioner, I've grown to think of the body as the cloud storage of emotions for the brain.

As a body-oriented practitioner, I generally focus on the physical component of the body: bones & joints, muscles & fascia, tendons & ligaments. But sometimes something physical is in pain or not functioning correctly because an emotional circuit breaker tripped, resulting in the wrong neural signals being sent to that region. That's where I can help using NET, by utilizing muscle testing analysis through the NET system to access the emotional physiology.

In the case of this video demonstration, the patient presents with neck pain. Normally I would first fully assess the neck and ideally the entire spine - the alignment and muscles involved. I often find that regarding neck dysfunction, muscles are involved not just in holding up and moving the neck, but also in the abdomen and pelvis. Think of what posture you take if you contract your abs as in a "visceral" reaction! That tightens the neck. Posturally as well - if you rock onto your sacrum when sitting, your neck will contract and move forward.

But back to this video...my patient has been working with me for a long time and understands the complexities and intricacies of how we hold stress in the body. She understands that I am a chiropractor first and not a psychotherapist - this is very important to understand. In fact, at NET trainings, there is now a pretty even distribution of healers, from MDs & DOs to RNs and NPs, to chiropractors & acupuncturists to therapists & counselors. Therapists are not licensed to touch, so they learn the "mind-entry" method, which I demonstrate in a related Blog Post.

By placing one's hand over an affected and often painful area of the body, the feedback loop to the brain will be alerted. The programming notion of Garbage In-Garbage Out explains this well. If an altered message goes to the brain, the brain will focus there and let go of the muscle test. Likewise, if there is a memory, feeling, or story being triggered in a part of the brain that is connected to the body, then the muscles in that region will be affected.

Candice Pert was a researcher at NIH and was involved with the discovery of the Opiate Receptor. Her research went on to show that there are neurologic receptors for complex polypeptides of emotion throughout the fascial system of the body. And interestingly, the fascial system lines up very nicely with the meridian system in the Chinese Medical system.  So if there is a physical NEC (Neuroemotional Complex) in the body, it can be regarded physically, biochemically or energetically.

Clearing a NEC is just one component in a comprehensive, holistic treatment. But if it is present, doing all the other things may not hold. As the saying goes, we're only as strong as the weakest link.

In this demonstration, I am asking questions by following a specific algorythm developed by NET. I am able to identify an issue and tie it to a specific acupuncture meridian. These meridians correlate nicely with specific emotions, so we can then identify a specific emotion. And these emotions often tie in to an original memory. By bringing up this memory and related emotion, we can connect it to the active meridian map and clear it from that part of the brain.

NET has a research organisation called ONE Foundation, based at Thomas Jefferson School of Medicine in PA, and they have actually published MRI research that shows before and after brain MRIs following a NET session. It is profound, but we can now see a lit-up part of the brain become normal, and this translates to the body as well. The result is also equally profound - often no more pain and better function.
